John C. Rodgers

John Rodgers receiver the BSEE degree from the University of Maryland in 1987 and the PhD in electrophysics from the University of Fukui in 2003. He joined the Electromagnetics Technology Branch (Code 6850) at the Naval Research Laboratory in 2014 after serving 27 years on the research faculty at the University of Maryland Institute for Research in Electronics and Applied Physics. His research interests include charge particle beam-wave physics, high power electromagnetic sources, plasma electronics and nonlinear dynamics in electromagnetic and electronic systems. He has authored over 75 articles in scientific journals, contributed to two books on related topics and presented over 120 papers at scientific meetings. He serves as volunteer faculty at the US Naval Academy where he teaches and tutors a variety of physics and engineering courses.
